The IGET Bar is one of Australia's most popular disposable vapes, but like any device, it can sometimes have issues. Here are the most common problems and what to do about them.
Issue 1: No Vapour Production
Possible causes:
- The device is completely empty (puff limit reached).
- The device is defective out of the box (rare but possible).
- The airflow sensor is blocked.
Fixes:
- If the LED flashes rapidly when you puff, the device is empty — time to replace it.
- Check the mouthpiece for blockages (lint, debris). Blow gently through the bottom airflow hole to clear it.
- If brand new with no vapour at all, the unit may be faulty. Contact your supplier for a replacement.
Issue 2: Burnt Taste
Possible causes:
- The e-liquid is low or depleted — you're burning a dry wick.
- You're chain-vaping without giving the coil time to re-saturate.
Fixes:
- Take longer breaks between puffs (10–15 seconds) to allow the wick to absorb liquid.
- If the burnt taste persists consistently, the e-liquid is likely exhausted even if the battery still has charge. Dispose of the unit.
Issue 3: Leaking
Possible causes:
- Temperature changes can cause e-liquid to thin and seep out.
- The device has been stored on its side or upside-down.
Fixes:
- Store devices upright in a cool, dry place.
- Wipe the mouthpiece dry before use — a small amount of condensation is normal.
Issue 4: Weak Flavour
Possible causes:
- Vaper's tongue — a temporary loss of taste sensitivity from using the same flavour continuously.
- Low e-liquid levels.
Fixes:
- Switch to a different flavour for a few days to reset your palate.
- Stay well-hydrated — dehydration significantly dulls flavour perception.
Issue 5: Flashing LED
- 3 rapid flashes: Low battery (for rechargeable models) or empty device (non-rechargeable).
- Solid red: Drawing too hard or too long (over-puff protection activated). Wait 10 seconds.
- No light at all: Device may not be activated — check if there's a protective sticker over the airflow hole on new devices.
